Your Support Breaks Barriers

Did you know that in the last decade, only 8% of Broadway scores were written by women?

We want to change that. And so does SheATL.

SheATL is a theater festival in Atlanta, Georgia that exists to uplift, amplify, and promote new and upcoming female theater writers.  And they have chosen our show, “Rathskeller: A Musical Elixir,” to be part of their 2023 season.

We believe women need to see their stories on stage - written from a female perspective.

Enriching the landscape of the stories told on Broadway begins with investing in female writers — and She ATL is doing just that.

They provide theater space, sound equipment, lighting equipment, and rehearsal space for the shows they select to feature each year. They invite local audiences and theater industry professionals to come and enjoy the performances and give valuable feedback to the writers on their new projects.  Festivals allow writers like myself to see their work on its feet without having to come up with hundreds of thousands of dollars in equipment and space rentals.

But being part of this festival still requires an investment.

We need to raise $15,000.  Click to watch the SheATL Festival Support Video!

This pays the actors, director, music director, choreographer, and stage manager on our team. We also have costs like props and set pieces, scripts, and microphones to pay for. We also need instrumental backing tracks made for 3 new songs Bri wrote for the show.  We will rehearse in Atlanta for 2 weeks and then put up two performances on August 20th. This will be the first time Bri will see both her script and songs on stage.

With your support, we can get there!

Thank you in advance for your support - this leg of the journey is meaningful to the creative process and we love that you are a part of it. And if you are in the Atlanta area, join us on August 20th! Tickets for the festival go on sale in July.

Thanks again for all you have done to help us get to where we are today. We can't wait to share the next leg of the journey with all of you!

Sincerely,

Team Rathskeller
